Matthew 7:24 (AMP)- So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.

Webster defines the word source as someone or something that provides what is wanted or needed. This description rings true in today’s society. There are many sources serving as the primary foundation in people’s lives. However, there is only one structure that will last. As God’s chosen, He desires to be the source of your foundation. Matthew 7:24 (AMP) states, So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. God gave us the gift of Jesus to demonstrate how to rely on His word as the source of your foundation. The more diligent you become, the less likely your circumstances will dominate your life.

In order to have a proper foundation, it is essential to strip off everything that is not pleasing to God. Strive to keep your mind focused on obtaining the life He has set aside for you. As you continue to progress through the different stages in your development, you are sure to gain wisdom and confidence. Praying daily will strengthen your thought life and cause you to trust, believe and obey God quickly.

As you make the decision to fully serve God, opposition will come. However, knowing who you are will enable you to overcome your negative emotions. Remember that every decision you make is connected to someone else’s life. So, continue to keep going and don’t allow anything or anyone to set you back.
